
This satisfying easy vegan french toast is surprisingly simple, requiring just five minimalist ingredients. It’s also far healthier than you might think: It’s gently sweetened with banana, while flaxseed gives flavor, texture and a big dose of fiber, protein and omega-3 fatty acids.
Ingredients
1 banana
1 1/4 cups unsweetened almond milk
1/2 Tbsp flaxseed
1/4 tsp cinnamon
4-5 slices hearty wheat bread
Method to make easy vegan french toast
- Mash the banana, then stir in the milk, cinnamon and flax. Set aside for five minutes to soak.
- Preheat a frying pan. Dip each slice of bread in the batter and cook for a couple minutes on each side or until the side of the toast is golden brown.
