Recipe: Easy Vegan French Toast

This satisfying easy vegan french toast is surprisingly simple, requiring just five minimalist ingredients. It’s also far healthier than you might think: It’s gently sweetened with banana, while flaxseed gives flavor, texture and a big dose of fiber, protein and omega-3 fatty acids.

 

Ingredients

1 banana

1 1/4 cups unsweetened almond milk

1/2 Tbsp flaxseed

1/4 tsp cinnamon

4-5 slices hearty wheat bread

 

Method to make easy vegan french toast

  1. Mash the banana, then stir in the milk, cinnamon and flax. Set aside for five minutes to soak.
  2. Preheat a frying pan. Dip each slice of bread in the batter and cook for a couple minutes on each side or until the side of the toast is golden brown.

Enjoy warm!
