1 tablespoon olive oil
2 cups diced bell peppers
1 cup diced onions
1 (8 oz) tube Crescent Rolls
8 slices ham
15 slices salami
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (, provolone or Italian blend)
Method for hearty Italian breakfast casserole
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. While the oven is heating up, saute the onions and bell peppers in the olive oil until they’re soft. Remove from the heat and allow them to cool.
- In a greased baking dish, put down a layer crescent rolls, then add a layer of salami and a layer of ham.
- In a separate mixing bowl, whisk the eggs with a pinch of salt and pepper, then pour into the baking dish.
- Sprinkle the onions, bell pepper and cheese on top and bake for 30 minutes.
