Recipe: Super Green Smoothie

Recipe: Super Green Smoothie

When it’s a busy morning and you don’t have time to sit down for a breakfast, this health green smoothie gives you a dose of energizing ingredients in little to no time. And unlike traditional kale or spinach, this smoothie incorporates exciting, unique ingredients bursting with both nutrients and flavor.

Take bean sprouts for example. They’re high in vitamin K, which boosts your skin’s glow and gets rid of sleepy, dark under eye circles, making this a perfect addition to your morning routine.

Ingredients

2 1/4 cups water/ice

8 cups loose bok choy and yu choy (coarsely chopped)

1 cup Chinese celery

1-2 cups bean sprouts

4 tangelos

2 bananas, frozen in chunks

1/2 tsp stevia

4 cups frozen mixed berries

Method

  1. Blend all the ingredients together in a blender and enjoy immediately.

You can also make this in advance, pour into ice cube trays and freeze for future blending.
